When do you send an availability alert?▼
When a scheduled scan interprets the platform's public response as Available — matching that platform's availability signals — we email you immediately. Taken or Inconclusive scans do not trigger alerts.
Will you claim the handle for me?▼
No. HandleGrab never claims handles on your behalf. We alert you so you can claim it yourself on the platform. Act quickly — desirable names can be taken again within minutes.
How is this different from the username checker?▼
The checker at /username-checker tells you if a handle is available right now. Availability alerts keep watching after that check — so if it's taken today, you get the email the first time it opens up without needing to come back.
Do I need to share my social password?▼
Never. HandleGrab only requests the public-facing page or endpoint for that handle — the same data anyone can see in a browser without logging in.
What is the difference between weekly, daily, and hourly plans?▼
Frequency is how often we re-check. Weekly (Trial) is for testing the flow, daily (Pro) for a small watchlist, hourly (Premium) when timing matters and you want the fastest notification window.
What happens if a scan is Inconclusive?▼
Inconclusive means the platform did not return a trustworthy answer (timeout, rate limit, maintenance, or changed response). We log it, retry on the next cycle, and do not send an alert. Missing profile alone is not proof a username can be claimed.
